Aki Carpenter

Aki is an Associate, Design Director at Ralph Appelbaum Associates in New York and has opened over ten award-winning museums and cultural institutions worldwide. Her current work at RAA includes design direction for the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, IL. Aki's most recently opened project included both the graphic design and exhibition design for the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. She is a founding member and the Creative Director for Ripple Effect, a water literacy program in New Orleans. She is an accomplished and passionate home cook, with a book's worth of recipes both original and passed down from family. Aki is based out of Brooklyn, NY.
